Project Night Night
This organization is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children one sweet child at a time. Project Night Night donates individual duffle bags filled with a security blanket, children's books, and a stuffed animal to children ages newborn to 10 in homeless shelters.
Lisa Browning of Franklin gave several of these bags to CareNet to distribute when appropropriate. Thank you Lisa for this kind gesture.
CareNet Thrift Store
by Sara Doolitle
Donations to our Thrift Store help our community in so many ways. Aside from some of the more obvious reasons, one example is particularly worth sharing. A few months ago a woman and small child came to the door just at closing time.
The woman asked if she could please look quickly for a pair of shoes. Happliy, she found a pair to fit the little girl who was going to start attending church.
Recently the same woman was in the store and asked if I remembered her. She wanted to let us know she was Baptized the previous Sunday. So, in a very small way, CareNet played a part in God's much larger plan. Every shopper's circumstance is unique and each donation truly a blessing.
Thank Your for your Continued Donations to CareNet
During the month of April 2008 the following made donations to the CareNet Pantry:

Volunteers Needed
CareNet is considering opening to clients five days a week instead of the current Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule. In order to accomplish this, we will need additional volunteers for Tuesdays and Thursdays. This would also mean that CareNet will need additional assistance with the Soup Cafe. Please let us know if you're interested.
Additional volunteers are need for our moving van, construction projects.
